Ports Hotel

I stayed here with my family in one bedroom apartment suite for almost 10 months here till Dec 2022 .It was pretty decent hotel with great static budget and friendly staff. It was nice interacting with Scott, hotel staff and services were quite good. I liked kitchen facilities with all the usual kitchen items and stoves to cook foods . There was nearby good public school where my kid 6th grader went for study. There are a lot of restaurants near by, shops and grocery store like RABBA, Loblows for foods and daily use grocery in nice budget. It's just in front of Lake, so mornings and sunset lake views was amazing and there are a lot of parks nearby to roam and walk which i really liked most. Transport connectivity like GO station and bus services were near by so travelling was not a problem at all. During summer, the location is perfect. Overall, I liked this place very much in great budget with so many things nearby in walking distance.

It was a very pleasant stay. The rooms are clean and very spacious. I stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment. Scott, the front desk manager was always very helpful and friendly. It made my saty much easier.

I have been staying in this hotel since 1996 and would like to in my coming days. The hospitality is unprecedented. It is at a lively location with all facilities around. Price wise it is quite affordable. I would recommend it any one.

Nice place to stay as it is close to the lake shore. All basic necessities are reachable and at a walking distance. Hotel is neat and clean. Staff is very cooperative. The only issue is that you will find lot of bugs during summer near the hotel and in room.

Very nice place to stay. We stayed with my wife for almost 2 weeks, no problems whatsoever. We took a deluxe room lake view, very clean, the housekeeper came in twice a week and the parking is for free. The front desk person spoke Spanish so it was very nice to talk in our native language. As someone mentioned before, this is an affordable option, of course it's not the Sheraton, I wonder how people can be so silly and expect luxuries, most of the time totally unnecessary, paying less than 100$ per night? (in our case it was 75/day). Totally recommend it.

I stayed here with my family (we are 4 adults) for a month and a half (Feb-March 2011). No problems with insects or bugs of any kind. Everything was great, and the location was perfect with restaurants and a big Rusty's No Frills right across the road for all our shopping needs. We chose the Deluxe 2-bedroom Lakeview apartment. We're looking to be back this year for more of the same. Highly recommended for the price.

Lived here for 2.5 months, here's my honest review: 1) Good Value for money 2) Receptionists are very helpful, especially Kelly on the weekends & Fadir. Kelly made us feel very comfortable with her helpful & smiling nature 3) Go for the apartments from the 4th to the 6th floor, they tend to be the nice ones - especially the lake facing ones 4) Internet isn't the best 5) Parking lot really needs work...needs to be paved very urgently 6) Two bedroom apartments are nice with comfortable beds, clean apartments and good overall upkeep from the TVs to the kitchen Overall, I would say this is good value for money where you get what you pay for - nothing more nothing less. I would recommend it.

I stayed at Ports Hotel on the 2nd floor facing the lake for a month in 2005 and then for 3 months in 2008. The room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. I neither had issues with insects or dirty sheets or towels and room service kept the place clean. It is an old building mind you, and the furniture may be outdated, but the location is fantastic and you are not paying a fortune to stay there. I recommend this place to anyone on a budget looking for a simple, clean place to stay at a nice location.
